Why did it find nothing?+
The PDF probably has no embedded raster images — a text-only document genuinely contains none. To get a picture of each page instead, use PDF to Images.
Why is one logo only listed once?+
Images repeated across pages are stored once in the PDF, so they are extracted once rather than forty times.
How is this different from PDF to Images?+
PDF to Images renders each page as a picture, so you get one image per page with the text baked into it. This pulls out the pictures that were embedded in the PDF as separate files, with no page background and no text.
What resolution do the extracted images come out at?+
Whatever was stored in the file. If a photo was placed at 300 dpi but displayed small on the page, you get the full 300 dpi original rather than the shrunken version you can see.
