What PhotoSoft is

A set of document and media tools. Most run entirely in your browser, cost nothing, and need no account. A few need our servers — the document conversions and the larger video jobs — and those are paid, metered in credits.

Your account

You need an account only for the paid tools. Give us an address you actually control, since it is how we reach you about billing and how you recover access. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Your files stay yours

You keep every right you already had in the files you process. You grant us permission to do one narrow thing: store and process the file for as long as it takes to perform the operation you asked for, and give you the result. That permission ends when the job does. We do not acquire a licence to use, publish, or learn from your content. See the privacy policy for exactly how long files exist on our side.

You confirm you have the right to process the files you submit.

What you may not do

Don't use PhotoSoft to process material that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that sexually exploits children. Don't upload malware. Don't attack the service, probe it for holes without permission, work around rate limits or payment, or automate it at a scale that degrades it for other people. Don't resell the service or pass it off as your own.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where the breach is not serious and can be fixed, we will normally ask first.

Credits and paid plans

Server jobs are paid for in credits. A subscription grants credits at the start of each billing period; you can also buy credit top-ups outright. Prices are shown on the pricing page before you pay.

• Credits are reserved when a job starts and charged when it succeeds. If a job fails, the credits are returned automatically. You pay for work that produced a file you could download.
• Unspent credits roll over into the next period up to a cap set by your plan, which is stated on the pricing page. Anything above the cap does not carry over.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts and cannot be exchanged for money except as a refund under the refund policy.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals and leaves the period you have already paid for running to its end; the refund policy below covers getting that money back.

Payments are handled by Paddle as the seller of record, and their terms apply to the transaction itself. We may change prices, but not for a period you have already paid for, and we will give notice before a renewal at a new price.

Availability and changes

We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, and there is no uptime guarantee on any plan. We may add, change or retire tools. If we retire a paid tool you are actively relying on, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of what you paid for it.

No warranty

The service is provided as is. File conversion is imperfect work: layouts shift, fonts get substituted, and some documents convert badly. We do not warrant that output will be accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose, and you should check results before relying on them.

Keep your own copy of anything that matters. We delete processed files quickly by design, so we are not a backup and cannot recover a file for you.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost or corrupted data. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, for the free tools, is nothing.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights and this section does not take them away.

Ending it

You can stop using PhotoSoft at any time. Your account page will cancel a subscription, or delete the account outright along with its data. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or where we must in order to comply with the law. The sections on your files, liability and governing law survive the end of this agreement.

Changes to these terms

We will update the date at the top when these change. For changes that materially affect your rights or what you pay, we will email account holders in advance rather than relying on you to re-read the page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and disputes go to the courts of Pakistan. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
