Past that point a browser runs out of room to work in, so the file goes to our servers, where ffmpeg does the job far faster than WebAssembly can manage in a tab. That path costs credits, and the file is deleted when the job finishes. The tool tells you which path your file is taking before it starts, not after you have waited.
Neither path adds a watermark. The free one is genuinely free rather than a trial that stamps the output.
