Does trimming re-encode the audio?+
Yes, the trimmed selection is re-encoded on export, so there is a small quality cost as with any edit.
Is my audio uploaded?+
No. Trimming happens in this tab.
Can I keep the middle and drop both ends?+
Yes. You set a start point and an end point, and everything outside that range is discarded. Keeping two separate sections means trimming twice and joining the results with the Audio Merger.
How precise is the cut?+
The audio is decoded before it is trimmed, so the cut is made on the waveform itself rather than snapping to the nearest compressed frame boundary.
